Amberley B has been a part of the 905 music scene for almost a decade. Starting out in the rock band Surfacing, she was the only chick rock singer in her area at the time, often opening for metal bands in the Hamilton/Toronto area, (which made for an interesting fit).
After a few years with Surfacing, the members changed, thus forming the experimental rock band, “I Kill Giants”. During that time
After the split of I Kill Giants in 2009, Amberley decided to pick up a guitar for the first time and start writing on her own, thus becoming a solo artist; a dramatic step in her career.
Since then, she’s opened for Canadian artists such as Hunter Valentine, Holly McNarland, Sarah Blackwood, (The Creepshow) and Bif Naked making the transition worth while. She’s been featured in Cody Allen’s record, (2009) and Pale Whale, (2010).
Her upcoming album ‘Paper Dolls’ showcases the rock roots she came from, and captivating a new sound that has garnered much attention in her hometown. To be released in the Summer of 2011.
